Seasons in Ann Arbor

Gallup Park, situated on the Huron River, is 69 acres of scenic walkways, bike trails, playgrounds, and picnic areas. Gallup Park's canoe livery connects to the Argo Park livery upstream, making family canoe trips a breeze. 

The Michigan Theater, a movie palace built in 1928, hosts both the Ann Arbor Film Festival and the Ann Arbor Symphony. This lush art house theater serves up modern entertainment with the elegance of a bygone age, complete with a Barton Theatre Pipe Organ.

 

 

The University of Michigan Stadium, built in 1927, is the largest stadium in the country, seating 107,601.  Game day is filled with fans cheering on the Wolverines football team, tapping their toes to the band and giving tribute to our veterans.  A visit to the BIG HOUSE is a must!

Ann Arbor Earth Day Festival

Celebrate the Earth at the Leslie Science and Nature Center every year! This free, family-friendly event will feature displays from 40 local environmental, nonprofit, and governmental organizations, live animal demonstrations, hands-on activities, live entertainment, green building & commuting technologies, and much more. In the true spirit of Earth Day, this festival will again be a Zero Waste event, with the help from Recycle Ann Arbor and their grant from the Ann Arbor Area Community foundation.

Ypsiglow

Downtown Ypsilanti GLOWS every year with hundreds of community and artist creations for a night of dancing, DJs raised into the air, interactive art activities, black-lit stations, street performances, glowing window displays, and more!

Annual Briarwood Mall Boo Bash

Bring the kiddos to Briarwood Mall for some Halloween fun!

Halloween Treat Parade

The annual Treat Parade in downtown Ann Arbor will be trooping down the streets on Halloween night.

 

Area merchants will welcome your little costumed characters to their neighborhood with greets and treats. Black and orange balloons will fly from participating businesses. The Ann Arbor District Library will also be hosting a Halloween party that will feature stories, puppets, and trick-or-treats.

English Gardens' Annual Christmas Open House

Santa’s comes to English Gardens every year! Stroll through a dazzling display of professionally decorated theme trees, lights and decorations. Get the kid’s picture taken with Santa and create a free birch slice Christmas ornament to kick off the Christmas season.

Original A2 Turkey Trot

Don’t be a turkey -- come join this year’s A2 Turkey Trot in support of Food Gatherers, the featured charity of the A2 Turkey Trot! Get your racing shoes and head to Hudson Mills  Metropark for a 5K, 10K , or a mile fun run. For those who want the full turkey, try out the Iron Turkey challenge -- run both the 5K and 10K races!
